We had a great experience

We had a great experience. David was excellent and everyone was helpful. We decided not to fix our Xbox and we were not charged. I will come here with every thing in the future. Thank you!

"UBreakIFix" San Diego is a rip-off

The Samsung-referred "UBreakIFix" San Diego store on Midway Drive is AWFUL. I called first and they said to come in for a "free diagnosis," I called back to ask about backing up my phone before coming in and they put me on hold and forgot I was on the line waiting. They had me come in, then the front guy "consulted" w/ a guy in the back (presumably Manager or owner) who made something up and said "Samsung will not allow us to diagnose your phone unless you first pay $275 (or something close to that) to fix your screen (tiny, superficial, pencil point crack that I don't even care about)." Samsung can remotely look at phone issues and when I told T-Mobile what the store said, they agreed it was not right. Samsung should look into these guys. Samsung is awesome and that store is not legit, Samsung corporate probably thinks they are legit b/c they "somehow" have mostly 5 star (fake?) reviews. Now they are going to have an honest 1-star review. Hopefully they can't delete it. Samsung and the tech I spoke with get 5 legit stars! I am going to follow up with Samsung to see if that is true, if it isn't then Samsung shouldn't refer customers to them_partner with them. Usually I don't ever complain, but this was B.S. and "ubreakifix" Midway Drive, San Diego needs to get called out. (Also, they said they would need me to leave my phone for 3 hours to diagnose, but I heard the guy in the back say to charge me almost $300 to fix the screen w/ minor issues, then work on it the next day, not even knowing the issue yet).

They deserve a score of ZERO!

Took my phone in to Tucker, GA UBIF in January. Phone had just been purchased directly from Samsung as certified pre-owned. As soon as the sim card was put in I knew there was a problem with the sound. Samsung told me to take it to UBIF. They kept my phone for 2 months while lying over and over about the resolution. One joker passed it on to the next and the next and the next and the next... Supposed to get me a replacement phone but nobody there knows their rear end from a hole in the ground. Finally a replacement was sent to them for me fro Samsung since they couldn't repair my phone but God knows where that replacement is because I still haven't received it or even had any followup about it and it is now May! Main office is a JOKE because they are as worthless as the local store. Neither has a clue what expedited means but I was promised repeatedly that my case would be expedited. They must all think it means leave my phone on a shelf and only think about it when I call to ask what the heck is going on. And then I'm forced to start over fresh dealing with somebody new all the time.. Worst customer service ever. They should be ashamed! Avoid at all cost!!!!

Use this store at your own risk, you have been warned

I brought my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus in for a battery and screen replacement on Saturday May 1st. The manager Dina was very pleasant yet the experience ranked as one of the worst that I've ever had with a local business in my 62 years. My camera lens was scratched it smudged on the inside which I considered no big deal as these things happen. It was the way the young man who answered the phone around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday May 4th at the Paramus store dealt with it. No question he had a screw loose. I'm in a service business myself and I deal with all sorts of people; I never experienced that kind of unprovoked rudeness. Even though they would probably fix the phone to get me to change the review, I don't trust that young man to not intentionally sabotage the phone. I am taking the phone somewhere else and paying twice.
Two other people with iPhones had problems there too. I have to rank the store less than one star. I want to stress this should not reflect on the manager, Dina. She is a nice person, regrettably I was not able to speak with her, besides she is only one person.
Use the Paramus Rte 17 location for electronic device repair at your own risk, you were warned!

Terrible experience in Machesney Park, IL!

Dropped off an iPad 5th gen that worked perfectly, but needed a replacement charge port (was charging intermittently). Was told 1 week, due to the part having to be ordered. It took 2.5 weeks. I sent my daughter to pick it up. She paid and received the iPad, only to find that there was now a huge bubble under the screen. She asked for them to fix that and was told to return in 30 minutes. She came back and found that there were now what appeared to be scratches under the screen. She called me and I had her request a refund while they fixed it, and that we would return the next day to pay for it and pick it up. We came back the following day. They had "reverted" the repair (by presumably de-soldering the entire charge port connector), and had somehow either disconnected the battery or discharged it completely (and added some "bonus" fingerprints under the screen). They said that they thought that she didn't want to pay, so they couldn't leave it repaired?! There is no way to tell if the screen even works now. I explained the miscommunication and asked them to complete the original repair and I would pick it up later that week. They said that the manager would not allow them to do any work on the unit. Very frustrating and very unprofessional. All we ever wanted was for the unit to be repaired, and in the same shape that we brought it in. We never asked for them to revert anything.

Worst Business I've Ever Dealt With

Update: Today is Monday 4/5/21, and uBreakiFix has never reached out to me to provide me with updates. I'm continuing to try to get a full refund because they have failed on every promise that they've made. I'm still willing to give back all of the parts along with the rest of the phone which is MORE than uBreakiFix gave me, & I only want my money back.
Summary
I just got my iPhone 8 today from uBreakiFix in Matteson IL, & it is still broken. I expressed how disappointed I was with the "repair," but they claim the phone is fixed. I will not use my phone in the unacceptable condition that it is in, so I feel they have stolen $416.08 from me, which was the full cost of the repair including tax. I know I'm not the only one. I heard plenty of other people coming in & complaining while I was in their store waiting. Also, if you call their customer service line, you need to wait a long time in line because they must have so many other people calling in to complain or to trying get refunds.
Full Experience
3/1/21 I brought my cell phone to uBreakiFix to replace the battery & the back glass. I was told it would be a 24-hour repair
3/2/21 I called for a status update & they told me they needed until Wednesday
3/3/21 They called me at 10:30am to say my phone would be ready in an hour. They called again at 11:00am saying they needed "a little more time" & that they were going to charge me an additional $50 because the charging port was not working. After not hearing back, I called at 5:15pm, & my phone was ready. When I picked up my phone, the front screen was broken. They agreed that it must have been their fault & to replace it for free. After waiting an hour, I got the phone back & the new screen was protruding out from the frame. The employee said that they must have forgotten a screw to secure the screen. After waiting 20 more minutes the employee came back & said the phone was “fixed.” The screen was better, but it was still protruding from the frame. The employee told me that could be fixed & that they would repair the phone the next day
3/4/21: I called at 1:00pm to get a status update. They told me the screen was fixed, but the new charging port was having issues. They said that I would have to wait for them to order a new charging port, which would be on Friday or Saturday. I told them I need my phone for work and I can’t wait any longer for the repair. I asked for a refund, and I was willing to give them back the parts to the phone. I told them that they could do whatever they needed to get the parts back, I just wanted a full refund. They only agreed to refund $143.58 for the battery and charging port, but they would not refund me for the back glass which was $272.50. I told them that doesn’t help me out because I wouldn’t be able to use the phone without a battery or charging port, so what good would new back glass do for me. I called their main customer support at 877-320-2237. I spoke with a corporate employee who put me on hold after hearing my story to call the Matteson location. When the corporate employee got back to me he told me the same information that the Matteson employees told me, but he added that he would open a “case file” for me, and assured me the phone would be 100% fixed without any issues.
3/6/21 I got a call around 3:00pm on Saturday that my phone was finally completely ready
3/7/21 I was finally able to pick up my phone, but as I picked my phone up I could feel that the screen and back side of the phone were not sitting properly in the frame of the phone. It’s clear when you look at the phone that the screen and back side of the phone were not installed properly. As you can see in the pictures I’m afraid the back glass may completely fall off at any time. I told them that they could have the entire phone if needed. I just want my money back at this point, but they are completely unwilling to do anything help me. Now I’m left with a phone that I will never use because the front screen and back glass don’t feel secure at all and I can even see the hardware behind the screen and back glass.

Worst Company I've Ever Dealt with

I just got my iPhone 8 today from uBreakiFix it Matteson IL, and it is still broken. I attached pictures. The first picture is one that I took today in the store to show exactly what I was showing the employees as I picked up the phone after it was "repaired" by them. I expressed how disappointed & unhappy I am with their "repair," but they think the phone is fixed. It just got really hot, and that just gives me another reason to never use the phone again.

Seems like they rip people off now

I decided to take my laptop that has a cracked screen over to them. The day I brought it down the person at the stand said it would 150-300 which ia reasonable for such a repair. They tell me they'll call me the next day with an exact price. The next day comes and no call. I decide that'll I call them and ask what the price is. The price magically went up to 500. It becomes clear to me that they are attempting to rip me off so I decide to turn down thier services and I go to pick up my laptop. So when I get there I am greeted by a employee who smells and lacks hygine. He has such an attitude about having to get my laptop. I took the laptop and left.
The sad thing about this place is how they rip you off. In 2015 my little brother cracked my older laptop and I took it to them. That laptop was far more damaged then this one i have now. The person there was honest and he fixed it for only 300 which is a fair price. They arent the company they used to be. You're better off looking elsewhere to be honest for device repairs.

Excellent service. I took my phone in to be repaired after a company totally screwed it up.
